Documenting and sharing my makeup collection and the changes it goes through, mainly for my own purposes but I know this can be helpful for anyone wanting to declutter, hold themselves accountable for using up products. I'm not a minimalist by any means, but I'm done buying just for the sake of spending money.amber.cbhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16910169493055976768noreply@blogger.comBlogger60125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-70051986422260576792016-12-23T13:37:00.001-06:002016-12-23T13:37:29.612-06:00Reviving this thingSo it's been about 4 years, more like 4.5 😮<br />
<br />
I kinda dropped off the face of the blogosphere. Life got way too busy for nail polish, now my nails are nearly always naked 😂<br />
<br />
When my son was almost 2 I started to get back into beauty, and that was 2 years ago. And since then my collection (makeup) has grown quite a bit. Nothing too massive, but lately i have noticed that it is getting a little too big for me. Time to actually declutter, organize, and set goals and figure out a way to get the most use out of my makeup. I have already decluttered quite a bit, but I'll be showing in my next post what i am getting rid of for the end of the year. I'll also do regular "Empties" posts, mini reviews, as well as my project pan and goals for 2017! <br />
<br />
I'll post as I can, i am still not sure how often that will be because now I have two kids instead of one lolamber.cbhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16910169493055976768noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-89447855143272585392012-08-17T03:00:00.000-05:002012-08-17T03:00:09.211-05:00Cherry, baby!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

What better way to try out my new favorite red=] I love how much more comfortable I've become with doing nail art, I think I need to invest in a variety of other brushes hmm..<br />

<br />
This is (except my rings) a base of e.l.f medium red and two coats of OPI Moonsooner or Later over that. Don't ask why, I was tryin out some layering..I'm not sure if it even made a difference lol<br />
On the rings I have a base of Revlon Temptress, and I used my itty bitty brush to make the cherries, with Moonsooner or Later and The Jungle Look for the stems. <br />

Today's challenge is a freestyle, so I went all out and made a franken! It's called I'm on a Boat. Named for a hilarious song by the Lonely Island feating T-Pain, the video is below, got it from youtube. You should also check out Jack Sparrow featuring Michael Bolton, so funny lol This is just a sneak peak of the polish, it's still being tweaked, but I know you'll be seeing more of this, I just love this color!</div>

I know that I've posted about my new computer, and that I'd be on here more often, but it's super crazy how life happens you know? So basically not only did I get a computer and washer/dryer set for my birthday, but I also got pregnant! Woo! My boyfriend and I are just elated=] I'm currently about five weeks and a day according to the internet, using the first day of my last period in one of those calculating things...Apparently you're pregnant like two weeks before you get pregnant lol<br />
<br />
This does not mean that I will not be blogging, but for now my posts may still be a little sporadic. Who knows? What I do know is that since I found out Wednesday morning that I'm going to be a mother, (oh wow, is that weird to type lol) I have been completely concerned with every little thing I put in/on my body and my environment, so if you can't guess what this means; only 3 free polishes, and manis/pedis will be done outdoors!<br />
Anyone know of a good base coat that's 3free? I keep using my Ulta nail hardening one because it works so well, but I can't find anything on it stating it isn't.<br />
<br />
This is also a big reason why I'm continuing (and extending most likely) my no-buy. If I do buy any polishes while I'm pregnant/breastfeeding, they will definitely be 3 free, so bring on the OPI and Zoya! I know Revlon says 3free, but I also know that not all brands stating they are 3free actually are...I guess the price tag makes me think hmm...what if it's not true? For some reason I just trust Zoya and OPI more lol<br />
<br />
I am also considering doing mommy posts, I will of course be keeping everyone up to date on stuff going on with my pregnancy, but if I have to create a whole 'nother blog just to write about pregnancy then I'll have to think of a new name for it and honestly, I'm out of ideas when it comes to names right now.<br />
<br />
My mom's convinced I'm having a girl, and I was on a website earlier that had you plug in your age and the month you conceived on some ancient chinese baby gender calendar, and that thing says it'll be a girl.<br />
<br />
However, my boyfriend's family is notorious for only producing boys.<br />
<br />
I myself am just waiting for that moment of "I know for sure that it's gonna be a..."<br />
<br />
For now I'm logging a journal on my own of what I'm feeling and what's happening to my body.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fdd-H9SVdTQ/UACn6FKtzCI/AAAAAAAAA10/Z-3-Jm8fgow/s1600/franken%252C+dupe+%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" sda="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fdd-H9SVdTQ/UACn6FKtzCI/AAAAAAAAA10/Z-3-Jm8fgow/s320/franken%252C+dupe+%25281%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Also I think I forgot to post this mani lol<br />
This is my nude tape mani (inspired by nailside of course!) using scotch tape, then China Glaze Under the Boardwalk, and then I free handed Splish Splash because I was tired and didn't feel like waiting to put tape down.<br />
<br />
I should've waited.<br />
<br />
Thanks for reading!<br />nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-57875552237474585782012-07-22T02:43:00.000-05:002012-07-22T02:43:05.561-05:00Birthday girl<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R_8LfLm7UBw/UAuqeyD18YI/AAAAAAAAA5M/-EdfXfpUzng/s1600/birthday+%25285%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R_8LfLm7UBw/UAuqeyD18YI/AAAAAAAAA5M/-EdfXfpUzng/s320/birthday+%25285%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a>Hey guys! So I feel like I should let everyone in on some awesome news from my birthday! Tuesday was my birthday, and my boyfriend made me this awesome cake! It's fun-fetti with whipped icing, just how I like 'em! He's much better than I am with decorating cakes lol<br />
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Also, we finally got our washer and dryer, and my mom got me a laptop! She also took me shopping, but if you can believe it, I actually didn't buy anything makeup or nail related. Ha, I'm lying, but I honestly got like two things and thats it, the rest is clothes!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So the internet/cable people come on monday to get us set up, and then hopefully after that you'll all be hearing from me more often! I am too psyched about this.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But then there's the not so fun news: I gotta go on a no-buy, and it's forrealforreal this time. We're getting some brand new bills starting this month and I just don't even see how I could squeeze any personal shopping in there. I hope I'll be able to spare the cash to buy my haircolor, but that's about it. I really gotta have some self-control, and it's gonna be hard. Luckily I have a pretty okay sized stash in my opinion, and it should keep me pretty busy until I can buy more.</div>

I don't think I could get tired of creating floral manis. On my ring finger is a hair lol I trimmed my bangs yesterday at the nail/makeup/hairdoin' desk and didn't exactly clean up very well. What? It's actually Summer Lovin' but...where else should my mind go? Oh my goodness, the movie that initially started my absolute love of musicals. My musical movies are by far the movies I have seen the most of in my lifetime, probably a tie between the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Rent, I cannot count how many times, but both my DVDs skip badly. Actually I think I lent my RHPS to somebody a long time ago and haven't seen it since, which would really piss me off if I didn't know it scene by scene, song for song. They can have the skipping DVD! Anyway, I didn't do anything overly Grease-like, but I did decide I wanted to do something vintage, since it's a movie that's made to look like the 50's. I give you, floral-ly goodness!</div>

OPI Moonsooner or Later</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ljcqH647Glc/UACn6B--VKI/AAAAAAAAA14/IwrXy_VOwgo/s1600/franken%252C+dupe+%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ljcqH647Glc/UACn6B--VKI/AAAAAAAAA14/IwrXy_VOwgo/s320/franken%252C+dupe+%25282%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a><span style="background-color: white;">L-R: OPI Moonsooner or Later, Revlon Fearless, Deborah Lippman Footloose, Pure Ice Siren</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8K_rbhf3IUk/UACn87DoCUI/AAAAAAAAA2U/_8yjLXi34qM/s1600/franken%252C+dupe+%25286%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8K_rbhf3IUk/UACn87DoCUI/AAAAAAAAA2U/_8yjLXi34qM/s320/franken%252C+dupe+%25286%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Footloose is also on my thumb, so you can see all four of those finers it is REALLY hard to tell any difference. I should point out that these are bright tomato reds, so yes, there is orange in them. Of course, orange is super hard to photograph, especially the differences in these being so slight as to a hint more or less of orange.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RwKS-SZHVts/UACoCGlOU2I/AAAAAAAAA2w/EVYfoEwrCWU/s1600/franken%252C+dupe+%25287%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="230" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RwKS-SZHVts/UACoCGlOU2I/AAAAAAAAA2w/EVYfoEwrCWU/s320/franken%252C+dupe+%25287%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
OPI and Revlon. Both are definitely crelly, but I would say Fearless is more of a jelly than MoL is. Very close to one another, but Fearless is a little smidgen itty bitty bit more orange than MOL is.<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: right;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: right;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h_s1yVVWMXE/UACoCT4ks5I/AAAAAAAAA28/l4zosnwMrH0/s1600/franken%252C+dupe+%25288%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h_s1yVVWMXE/UACoCT4ks5I/AAAAAAAAA28/l4zosnwMrH0/s320/franken%252C+dupe+%25288%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a>And here, we have Fearless and Footloose, and I'm here to tell you that I would consider these dupes of one another. Both are crellies, the flash in this photo really ruins the comparison, but just from the other photos of my middle and ring fingers, wouldn't you say these are just about the same polish? Revlon of course is sort of infamous for duping DL, and to me they've done it again. If you can go out and get Revlon Fearless, you most definitely don't need DL's Footloose, though you might still be able to find it on sale somewhere. I bought all four polishes in DL's Footloose collection for less then $26 on <a href="http://www.hsn.com/">hsn.com</a></div>

I'm going to show you my Birchbox that came in the mail today, I totally wasn't expecting it to come this soon! I haven't tried any products, so I'll just be putting the descriptions up, but reviews will come! This month, Birchbox teamed up with Glamour magazine. I love Glamour=] The whole bit is the senses, but since my box is one of the few that only got four items plus one lifestyle extra<br />
*Pausing to rant* what the fuck, Birchbox? Have I not been loyal to you for over a year now? Why must you vary the amount of samples per box? Needless to say almost every other box got 5-6 samples and one lifestyle extra. I however did not get anything to "taste" so...for future reference, Birchbox, you should probably not hang me out to dry during PMS. I am quite happy with the rest of my box but I still feel like they're being bitches up at the BB HQ. Whatever..<br />
<br />
So every box got the same lifestyle extra this month, have a looksee:<br />

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I have not tried these yet, but I do sincerely hope they fit into my ears. My small ears are notorious for not wanting any sort of headphone to stay in them. I know I'm not the only small eared girl out there, so a review will definitely be coming soon!<br />

I've never heard of this brand before, but I will be trying it. This would probably be perfect for my brow bone as a highlighter, but who's to say really... I doubt I'll use it all over with foundation since I'd rather go for a matte look than a dewy glow one. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm really glad this was included, and look at the size of it! this is .9 oz, with the full size being 4.3.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is honestly the biggest sample of something that I have ever gotten from Birchbox, but I will still be extremely pissed if there is only a small amount of product in this bottle. I hope this is what my skin's been looking for, with all the makeup I wear I really need something to just make me feel clean.</div>

<span style="background-color: white;">Perfume sample. really Birchbox? I'll throw this in the pile with my other tons of perfume samples that I've acquired from around, but mostly from you. I'm sure this smells fantastic, too. This is the smallest perfume sample I've gotten, and I don't even give a shit. I really wanna know why it's such a staple to have perfume in my box every month. Why couldn't I get another product, or for fuck's sake, the yummy Lara Bars a lot of boxes got? I'm just sayin, I get perfume samples for free from Ulta.com. Why the fuck do I get them each month in my BB, when it's obviously the cheapest thing you could find to throw in there.</span></div>

I've not tried this yet, but I love getting Laura Geller makeup in my BB, because it's normally full sized=] From what I can tell, this is as close to a full sized lipstick as I've ever seen. I will review this before I get my hopes up, buuuut I do love lipstick=]</span><br />

<br />
So to sum it all up, I am pleased with this box, but I do feel a little bit gipped by Birchbox. I pay the same $10 a month just like everyone else, but it's a roll of the dice each month as to whether I'll be getting 4, 5, 6, 7 products? And to do a whole *Multi-sensory* theme, but not send EVERYONE something to snack on for the taste? I love it when I get snacks in my BB, yeah it's a sample that goes almost immediately, but if they could send me something more useful than another goddamn perfume sample, I'd be super happy.nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-25981507417607178112012-07-13T15:00:00.000-05:002012-07-13T19:31:39.648-05:00Summer Challenge: Sea shells!Hey guys=] Today's challenge is my favorite so far, because for one: this mani can be used on more than one day (score!) and for two: I think it turned out super cool, and really I made it up as I went along.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F6QYpLNWnOs/T-2kYsHQXpI/AAAAAAAAAvc/xK0dov2w3vw/s1600/june+haul2+%252811%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" sca="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F6QYpLNWnOs/T-2kYsHQXpI/AAAAAAAAAvc/xK0dov2w3vw/s320/june+haul2+%252811%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KN675fDbNPw/T-2kYqu8G7I/AAAAAAAAAvg/FJbo4h7B9Ws/s1600/june+haul2+%252812%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="275" sca="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KN675fDbNPw/T-2kYqu8G7I/AAAAAAAAAvg/FJbo4h7B9Ws/s320/june+haul2+%252812%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JVXiq-ZxZ5s/T-2kYh7__tI/AAAAAAAAAvo/zO15U-xBk34/s1600/june+haul2+%252810%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="194" sca="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JVXiq-ZxZ5s/T-2kYh7__tI/AAAAAAAAAvo/zO15U-xBk34/s320/june+haul2+%252810%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I really took a lot of pictures, but these were the best ones I could find out of the bunch. I was trying to figure out what I could do to recycle Zuza, I had been wearing it for a day or so. I decided a beach theme would definitely work since Zuza looks like how I would imagine some really breathtaking ocean water would look. Everything I used is above: Color Club Coral Cascade, China Glaze Fast Track, China Glaze Kinetic Candy, Noname Maurices teal color, Sally Hansen French White Tip, Sally Hansen black, and Zoya Zuza. Below are my brushes I used, and the underside of a nail wheel, which I find are handy for doing nail art as little palettes.<br />
<br />
I painted on the sand (fast track) and then some waves (noname teal) and then the splash of the wave (kinetic candy) and then some little shore things, in random shapes mean to be the actual shells (coral and white and black) and then a little crab on my index, ain't he cute? Yes, he has legs, they are just small and my camera doesn't like beach scenes..or me..<br />
I added top coat because I wanted this to last a couple days. I was so proud of this one. I almost didn't though, because I like how textured it looked with the waves. I sort of did a sweeping of the polish alongside the teal line and then smudged it kind of with the brush. I know what you're thinking, wow that beach is cluttered.<br />
<br />
This reminds me of two of my aunts, they both used to live in Texas. My aunt Donna died when I was younger which really bites, but my other aunt still loves the beach just as much even though she hardly gets to see it anymore. She's one of those types that themes their house in beach-like art and such, which is cool=] I do miss visiting Texas every summer though, I haven't been in about 10 years.nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-29945772627064304842012-07-11T12:30:00.000-05:002012-07-13T19:31:53.322-05:00Summer Challenge, Pink and Purple!Today I decided I would finally try a cocktail mani! For those that don't know, this is where you paint your one hand all one color, and then the other that same color on two fingers, but the first three fingers have a different color. You know, the fingers you hold your glass with! The accent nails can be a bit spicier while the other nails a simple creme, or really whatever you want. China Glaze held a contest not very long ago (time escapes me) and you can still find their idea page on google.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FeSLIS4DWa4/T-2kcniBW9I/AAAAAAAAAxA/KSn0CEn8Dko/s1600/june+haul2+%252823%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" sca="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FeSLIS4DWa4/T-2kcniBW9I/AAAAAAAAAxA/KSn0CEn8Dko/s320/june+haul2+%252823%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really needa start doing my nails during the light of day again..</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ylu4_UzlmLA/T-2kdWvn-bI/AAAAAAAAAxU/mzr4aoEfSs8/s1600/june+haul2+%252824%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" sca="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ylu4_UzlmLA/T-2kdWvn-bI/AAAAAAAAAxU/mzr4aoEfSs8/s320/june+haul2+%252824%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I did this right after I got my Zoya trio in the mail, and I chose to keep it simple. This week was a bad one for my nails, a couple started breaking on my right hand, and the next day I couldn't stand it any longer and now all my nails are short, with the nubbiest being on my right hand. Zoya Kimber and Tru. Both are opaque in two coats, with awesome shimmers that apparently cannot be captured in my tired haste..<br />
<br />
Do you all like this "trend"? I don't see a lot of people doing it so I don't really know if it's considered a trend or..what.. I feel really weird about my accent nails being on my right hand, since my left hand is the star of most of the photos on my blog (and with good reason..) so I think I'm gonna break the rules next time and do the cocktail part on my left. What do y'all think?nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-38414578357623658152012-07-09T02:11:00.002-05:002012-07-13T19:32:07.926-05:00I got a Liebster=]<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">What are you top make up tips?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">Are you ready for this? 1. Always wash your face before bed, I don't care if you were lazy and didn't wear makeup! 2. If I hear another complaint about foundation, concealer, etc. from someone who IS NOT wearing primer, I'm gonna yell! 3. Q-tips were just made for you, remember that. 4. Eventually, you're probably going to have to learn how to use liquid eyeliner. 5. Pluck, wax, comb, trim, fill in, do what you have to, but those eyebrows aren't going to groom themselves, ladies. 6. Before you put on any sort of lipstick/gloss/pencil/stain please please exfoliate and moisturize. 7. If you're having a bad day, go get your hair cut. Seriously. 8. At least once every couple weeks...do them toes. They want it, and you know it! 9.Probably the MOST important: Blending. oh my god. It's so simple. Blend <em>everything</em>. foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, blush, bronzer, all of it.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">What is your favourite colour?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">Green has always been at the top of the list, but I'm not opposed to most colors.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">What are your top 3 must have beauty products?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">Wow.. Well if I had to narrow it down, I would definitely want Clinique's gel moisturizer for oily/combo skin because it soaks up fast, and it's gentle enough that I can use near my eyes without burning.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">then eyeliner. Right now I love my Loreal felt precision tip liquid in carbon black. Gotta have my cat eyes.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">And then I suppose my concealer, from Minerologie. When it's blended it doesn't crease, and it doubles as an eye primer! It keeps my eyeshadow/liner all day long. It is a tad too light to wear just on its own, so I normally do have to blend it into my tinted moisturizer/foundation whatever I'm wearing that day.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">What is your favourite movie?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The other day I saw Bridesmaids and that is definitely tied with Ted. I'd have to really think about the rest in my top five..</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">Who is your fashion icon?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">Not just one..Bettie Page, Marilyn Monroe, and depending on the day I'm inspired by different retro pin-ups. And Katy Perry.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">If you had 3 wishes, what would they be?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">To just have good health, for me and my family.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">To be able to destroy spiders with my mind. Flies too.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">and really great cars according to ratings of safety/awesomeness for my boyfriend and I.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">What is the colour scheme in your bedroom?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">oh well..our walls throughout the house are mostly neutral colors, and our curtain is dark brown (it's one of those that keeps the sunlight out) and then our bedding changes, from purple/lime to yellow/assorted...eh.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">What beauty chore do you least enjoy?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">Shaving. But that's because I really really have tons of phobias about germs, and especially shower germs. I never store my razors in the shower, and I'm always really careful about drying them and storing them in dry places, but then that leads me to wonder about my shower scrubbie thing and if I should store it out of the shower as well and god that'd just be a hassle...So then I think of something else.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">Who do you think is the biggest Fashion Offender in the public eye today?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">OOooh...I think as long as she's around, it'll always be Snooki. You can try to say Helena Bonham Carter but...I beg to differ. She's gothy-tim burtony. You just have to love her in a different way than a Kardashian.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">What would be your dream holiday/vacation?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">I would love to go anywhere, but I really love Australia. Mostly, I love how people sound when they talk in Australia.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">What made you decide to start blogging?</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">I'd been on blogger just trolling a buncha awesome blogs and doing my nails allll the time and taking pictures like they did, and I realized what did it even matter if I didn't start storing the pictures somewhere, listing what I had used, and more importantly, my thoughts on what I'd done? It just went from there. I normally only get a couple of comments on a post, but that's perfectly fine by me. While I do like having followers, it does add to the fun, it's just not what it's all about. In the end this is my virtual scrapbook of nails and cosmetics.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

So I'm doing it a little different, I have a little more than 11 bloggers listed, but that's because you can't tell me to just pick one! or 11...These bloggers are really great, you should check em out! Most of these I've not only followed and like their posts but have commented back and forth with. Not on a regular basis or anything, but still. There were other people I would've liked to have listed here lol but it's actually hard to find people with less than 200 followers...Anyway, I hope you guys answer these and share the love=]</div>

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NUTOKVohjDc/T8DxQAGrMvI/AAAAAAAAAe8/aKrabFAwPW8/s1600/dl+haul+%252818%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NUTOKVohjDc/T8DxQAGrMvI/AAAAAAAAAe8/aKrabFAwPW8/s320/dl+haul+%252818%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I've been so busy scheduling posts for later dates, I completely forgot about today's challenge. And probably because my mind just wanted to forget...okay it's pedicure. Now, before you judge, my family has Flinstone feet. Don't know what that is? That's trying to find a 6.5 WIDE anywhere I go. Doesn't always happen. Sometimes I have to settle for a 7. 7 is too big for me, but I digress...<br />
<br />
For some reason my feet do look extra swollen in this photo, but I'm pretty sure they were fine...they were flat on the floor which is adding to it, they look a lot more slender otherwise! I probably had just gotten off work and came home and did them. The redness around my nails definitely adds to the look of swollen-ness, but I can assure you it is only the China Glaze Strawberry Fields I had just taken off before applying Revlon Fearless.<br />
<br />
So there you go, my wide ass feet, my ugly carpet...I really did try for this one, and this was actually taken over a month ago. I've had better pedis since then. Why, why wouldn't I take photos?<br />
<br />nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-57979711856048947292012-07-08T10:02:00.003-05:002012-07-08T10:02:57.912-05:00Pretty in fuchsia<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t1REW9vOlSM/T_RFcbZx8lI/AAAAAAAAA0s/nEgIwH_3iNE/s1600/review+and+opi+%25289%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="237" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t1REW9vOlSM/T_RFcbZx8lI/AAAAAAAAA0s/nEgIwH_3iNE/s320/review+and+opi+%25289%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a>Today I'll be swatching/reviewing a pair of Revlons that were a part of my <a href="http://nevernakednails.blogspot.com/2012/07/june-haul-part-2.html" target="_blank">June haul</a>. They are Facets of Fuchsia and Plum Night. In my opinion, both are really pretty. Facets is different sized fuchsia glitter in a black jelly base. The base does take up to three coats to be pretty opaque. Plum Night is what I would define a crelly. It can be built up to opacity in about three layers, but I think it's because it's so vampy. There was a recent post about Facets on <a href="http://www.rebeccalikesnails.com/2012/07/revlon-facets-of-fuchsia.html" target="_blank">Rebecca Likes Nails </a>and I was like weird, I just bought that..now I want to wear that. But in her post, she expressed how frustrating it is that this polish does not dry. I agree for the most part, and actually BOTH of these polishes gave me shit, and Plum Night actually moved a good hour after I'd put her on..Apparently I'd banged my nail on something and bam! manicure ruined. I would say that after a full night of work Facets finally was actually dry, but there were so many marks and dents I really had no choice but to take it off as soon as I got home from work. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ozeN4SGj5UM/T_RFaO2oEUI/AAAAAAAAA0s/yIsMJ9MSr5Q/s1600/review+and+opi+%252810%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="305" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ozeN4SGj5UM/T_RFaO2oEUI/AAAAAAAAA0s/yIsMJ9MSr5Q/s320/review+and+opi+%252810%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9QgjPRs1ewI/T_RFcuwNIAI/AAAAAAAAA0s/jx68i9Zu1J4/s1600/review+and+opi+%25288%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="221" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9QgjPRs1ewI/T_RFcuwNIAI/AAAAAAAAA0s/jx68i9Zu1J4/s320/review+and+opi+%25288%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a>These pictures aren't the greatest, this one shows plum night lighter than it really is, but it is a really great bottle shot of Facets, very accurate. Facets is supposed to be a dead dupe for Deborah Lippman's Bad Romance, with the exception of DL's having a more opaque black base. I think that is very cool, I love DL, but damn $18 a pop...Revlon definitely has some sweeter price tags, so I love that they really make awesome polish affordable.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I don't hate either of these polishes, I think they may just need some more patience than I was willing to give them at the time. I think Facets would be a wonderful polish to try doing <a href="http://www.polishinsomniac.net/2012/03/how-to-syrup-nails.html" target="_blank">syrup nails</a> with. Gotta stay positive lol<br />

I bought both of these in a set from Big Lots for $2. What about the green ones..Today's post is about America, and freedom, and all the great things people have done to help further the freeness, and to those who have hindered it with unemployment, blah blah blah, all the political stuff people complain about that I really don't get into anymore because I get so stressed. I'm not gonna ask you what you think about the new healthcare stuff, or tell you about how little I know of it, but from what I have gathered is that it's gonna fuckin blow. Oh sorry, I'm rambling.. where I was going with that: Suck it, yous! As in the yous who do indeed suck...get it...<br />
<br />
I'm really just kidding, this post will be completely nail polish related =]<br />
<br />
Happy fourth!<br />

Yep, I decided to do an American flag and fireworks inspired cocktail mani! Oh what? That looks more like a pot leaf instead of a firework?<br />
<br />
Yeah I guess you're right. I totally wore this for two days until I relieved the second shift the other night from work, and she was like "Oh nice touch with the pot leaf" and I'm like noOoooo I wasn't even going for that! I just wanted to rush through it, and it wasn't coming out how I'd planned=/<br />
I'm not judging pot or bashing it by all means, this is really a completely different post y'all (as well as a paper I wrote in college*)but I kinda feel a little weird that people at work might judge me as even more unprofessional than I already come off as..what with my potty mouth with excessive amounts of "goddamnit" and "fuck" all day long...and then what the general public that sees me at work (whom I don't cuss around btw..I'm not trashy! mostly.) could've thought about me..if anyone actually paid attention to my nails..<br />
<br />
*Could everyone just admit that if we milked hemp for all it's worth and usefulness, things would go a bit smoother? IT CANNOT GET YOU HIGH<br />
**As for things that can, just fucking legalize already. Regulate it like alcohol or at least treat it like alcohol. I don't have the time to let's just say "be young and free" anymore, but growing up has in no way changed my opinion of this.<br />
***Jesus, what a rant. This is what happens y'all. I promise not to accidentally incorporate weed into another mani. ehh unless I feel like it.<br />
<br />
Anyway, lesson learned: next time just do a different colored firework, it'll pretty much be totally obvious and not seem drug related.<br />
<br />
I might not seem overly patriotic, but I never turn down a reason to celebrate. Sadly, I do have to go in tonight at 11, so the fact that there isn't class tonight is gonna allow me to catch up on sleep this week! That in itself is just as awesome as having a wildly fun night. Look who's old... <br />

Woohoo! and when I come back on Thursday, that'll be the last day of my first six weeks, and I'll take my test and my haircoloring class will be completed=] Next up, six weeks of perms & relaxers (as well as braids, finger waves, and I'm pretty sure styling with the freakishly weird marcel curling iron..)<br />

<br />
I could swear I used both of these in posts recently, but I'm scouring my blog and I must have just meant to..<br />
<br />
<b>UPDATE</b>: I realize now that I totally <i>did</i> already review the Revlon polish...go me lol <br />
<br />
Either way, up top is Color Club in Coral Cascade, dotted with Zoya Cho. I recycled Coral Cascade because I loved it sooo much, but I had tipwear and was not ready to take off this super cool color, so perfect for art! Cho looks way more white than it really is from that bottle shot, but the top pictures are really accurate.<br />
<br />
Below that is Revlon Chic, on day two if you can't tell from my obvious index finger lol This is perfect if you're wanting something neutral, but not feeling gray or nude. It's a blue gray, and I feel like this must be Zoya Bevin's older half sister, a bit more bold and a lot more blue=]<br />
<br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IQSNxgCu9vQ/T9vAiZK2KJI/AAAAAAAAAnc/Fmkg3WE_NRk/s1600/hauls+%252827%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" sca="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IQSNxgCu9vQ/T9vAiZK2KJI/AAAAAAAAAnc/Fmkg3WE_NRk/s320/hauls+%252827%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a>Also last month I bought a whole lotta hair products, in order to really appreciate my vibrant red and keep it lasting longer, so here's a little bit on some of that:</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
Oh my goodness! so to be clear, my shampoo and regular conditioner are not pictured, but I use Kenra sulfate free color protecting shampoo, and Joico moisture recovery conditioner. Both are really awesome, and the shampoo really cleans my hair without drying it out, and the conditioner really makes it so soft, and much less frizzy. I've mentioned before that I don't wash my hair much, maybe twice a week. Every second or third time I do wash my hair though, I shampoo with kenra and use the Healthy Sexy conditioner, which is more like a conditioning treatment for frazzled colored hair. My hair really needed this stuff the week I first got it lightened, and it really helped bring it back to life, as it took an entire week or more for my hair to feel "good" especially at the ends.</div>
<br />
Also, pictured are two hairsprays that I have found to work really well, but I honestly love the Kenra one a lot more than Pureology. I got the Pureology because it was a sale, and because it specifically says it's formulated to help keep color fading, I don't know how it won't keep it from fading I'm kinda iffy on it. I don't dislike Pureology and I will definitely try their shampoo/conditioners someday, but the Kenra spray is just..better. It says it right on the bottle, it won an award for being voted super awesomest for..something..stylists favorite something or other whatnot..<br />
and then the Paul Mitchell itty bottle is what I keep in my purse, it works great but it's a lot lighter than the others I have, but it smells aweeesoooome!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W4aAi4ybcHQ/T9vAt8WNURI/AAAAAAAAApM/GGe9ZtlcxYM/s1600/hauls+%252828%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="290" sca="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W4aAi4ybcHQ/T9vAt8WNURI/AAAAAAAAApM/GGe9ZtlcxYM/s320/hauls+%252828%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And also because I'm probably a sucker, I picked up this bottle of Matrix Biolage something...it's a spray that helps protect hair from UV rays (which will lighten your color) and heating tools...it says to spray on dry, finished hair to protect it. I'm a Nervous Nancy about this red fading, so yeah..I spray it on when I'm done everyday. You can tell me how lame I am, but I already know=] As far as I can tell, this stuff pretty much works like a hair spray, it has a slight hold to it and a hair spray-like smell.<br />
<br />
As for the Hempz lotion, that is a whole 'nother post, y'all! I got all of this at Trade Secret, because I was shopping with my mom, so I don't remember any of the prices and she has the receipt. It would've been a lot less if I'd gone to Cosmoprof, though.<br />
<br />
What do you use on your hair? No judging if you got it at the drugstore, promise=]nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-50609779761312920542012-07-02T23:30:00.000-05:002012-07-02T23:30:09.387-05:00Needle Dragon<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today's manicure was SUPPOSED to be a part of the PCF summer challenge, you see I had it in my head that there is a green+pink day, don't ask why.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Okay here's why: because I really didn't look and I just cou'dve swore I saw it on the list at one point, since there are a few days where the theme is simply one, two, or three colors, so your mind can pretty much go wild with whatever. So in my head there was a green and pink day. I just checked, and there is not lol It's just always been a favorite combo of colors for me...anyway, here ya go!</div>

<div align="left">
This is my first halfway successful needle drag, I had watched a video on youtube from Meliney, who posts really easy to follow video tutorials for nails that come out looking like you did something really complicated, so yeah, go meliney lol</div>
<div align="left">
<br /></div>
<div align="left">
Anyway, I started out with a swatch of two coats of Zoya Traci, and then completely forgot to take photos. Oh well, you get it. I should tell you that all of the Beach and Surf collection polishes that I have (four, Reagan, Kimber, Traci and Zuza) are pretty freaking opaque in one coat. If you did it thick enough you could totally get away with one, but I like to use a thinner first coat. In my mind things dry better that way, but that's probably just something I tell myself. Anywho, in the video Meliny is doing a totally different mani, but basically you apply your base, and then take a brush (if it's smaller you could get away with using the brush from the polish) and sort of sweep a different color from one point of the nail to the opposite side, while creating a sort of crescent. You should do this before the base has dried (which reminds me this is actually three coats of Traci because, yeah..) and then take your needle (I used the pointiest dotting tool) and drag your lines. I chose to completely copy off Meliny and draw them toward the corner of my nail, it sort of looks tie-dye. I finished off with hearts in the corners because I don't have any cool nail decals. For the dark green I used Ulta The Jungle Look and the hearts are China Glaze Naked. Speaking of which, I haven't properly shown off and swatched Naked. Til now.</div>

Such a pretty, Barbie pink! Every pink makes me feel like I have Barbie hands.. Anyway, this is two coats, and These pictures are really showing it brighter than it really is, it's a nicer softer shade in my opinion, with a really great subtle shimmer. So subtle, you can't even tell from these photos at all lol<br />
<br />
<div align="left">
anyway, how is everyone else doing tonight? I've got some ideas about changing the blog, I feel like I've cluttered it and made it as messy as I always make things, and normally when that happens I'll leave my mess around a while and then one day I crack from the chaos and have to organize the shit outta some things. I've got more time off than normal this week, so hopefully I can get to it soon=]</div>nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-83872295042174856442012-06-30T23:35:00.003-05:002012-06-30T23:35:49.959-05:00June Haul, part 2For months now, I've been trying hard to find the right indies to splurge on, but I simply cannot seem to stop going shopping in actual stores to get outta paying for shipping lol It's gotten worse now, because I have to commute to go to school. It's about a 45 minute drive and they have a helluva lot more options than I do for shopping, especially for cosmetics=] And don't even get me started on special beauty supply stores that require you to be a student or to have your license to even shop at. Anyway, here is the other half of my super haul for June, the first of which can be found <a href="http://nevernakednails.blogspot.com/2012/06/part-1-of-my-june-haul.html" target="_blank">here</a>. What I would like to say about this haul, as with most of my hauls, I always try to get a good deal on anything I buy. I am a total clearance rack whore. I like to wait until the right time to pounce on shit, with a good coupon code or some free shipping and whatnot. Perfect example which you will see in a moment: I love Zoya polishes. They are pretty stinking affordable for super amazingness, I just wish I didn't have to pay for shipping. And honestly, I haven't had to yet. All of my zoyas have come from Birchbox (minis in my box, or points racked up in my account makin' me dizzy with needing to be usedness) and one from a truly awesome blogger, <a href="http://doityourselflady.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Do It Yourself Lady</a>, that post can be found <a href="http://nevernakednails.blogspot.com/2012/06/im-back-and-ive-got-goodies.html" target="_blank">here</a>, and finally I have bought my own. And I didn't even have to pay the shipping=] I've been waiting and waiting for the right time to snatch up some Zoya Beach and Surf collection, and Lizzie O. amazingly sent me Reagan, a beaauuuutiful fuschia color, and I love it. But I wanted more. Ever since I saw my first photo of a swatch of Zuza, I have needed it in my life. I kept telling myself, ohh I can find something like it, or there's a sale going on over here, and blah blah blah. So, after the Zoya pinterest fiasco didn't work so well for me, they sent out an email letting everyone know that because of the popularity you could pick any three from the Beach and Surf collection for $15, free shipping. Fuck yes. I almost picked two Zuzas lol But no, I picked Zuza, Kimber, and Traci:<br />
<br />

oh my lovely Zuza=] You're gonna see her again real soon, believe that!<br />
Also, I haven't exactly done swatches of Traci or Kimber, but both will be making appearances very soon as well.<br />

I tried to get home or wake up in time (I honestly don't remember) so they wouldn't be sitting outside in my mail box for a while in this fucking sweltering ickiness, but all of them seemed to have this metallic looking settling ish stuff on the left sides. I assume that's how they had been sitting and it just kinda did that outside, who knows..<br />
<br />
Anyway, I recieved the color tray the day before the polish, I got so excited and then super pissed that I had to wait one more day for the polish lol<br />
<br />
Second up, because I am a total Birchbox point whore and can't seem to keep 'em for my life, I had racked up like...160? I think? Anyway, so I bought this beauty since it was free shipping. Only it doesn't count as free shipping unless bought with something else. What do I do with my few remaining points? Buy the cheapest thing in the store that just so happens to also be free shipping and has the same requirement? Yeah, wow you're good at guessing=]<br />

So the Color Club was $8, and the sanitizing wipes are $3.98, which I would absolutely never pay for 10 wipes. I'm sorry. Yeah, it's the perfect size to fit in my purse and whip out when I need to, and they have a light citrus scent, but that's just..no.. anyway, so when I bought the polish, it says Clambake Coral on the website and on the invoice...but the bottle says Coral Cascade. From what I can tell from google they are the same, I just don't know why the two names? Honestly I like the sounds of Clambake Coral better, but that's just the retro girl in me talking..eh anyways:<br />

This is the most accurate photo I could get, and I just wanna paint you a picture for this because it might seem kind of bright here, but this is SUCH a "secretary polish" lol like I really felt super retro wearing this. It makes me wanna back comb a beehive and go to the beach.<br />

So then I went to Big Lots, and wal mart! You can't go wrong with sweet deals like these:<br />

You should know, that all ten of these cost me five dollars. They all came in sets of two, for $2 per set. Yeah.<br />

Most of these are scented, so probably not for the faint of heart. I didn't notice them being tooooo much while swatching the nail wheel, but I have no idea how a full mani would be, seeing as these polishes are pretty sheer even after two coats, so I would suggest layering them over a similar color (or whatever you want) but I also don't know how long the smell lingers. Anyway, from left to right: Orange Fizz, Mint Fizz, Pineapple Fizz, Watermelon Fizz, Grape Fizz, Appletini Fizz, Temptress, Carbonite, Facets of Fuschia and Plum Night.<br />
<br />
walmart y'all:<br />

Yeah, you know I can't not pick up more Revlon Lip Butters. The sample from my Target bag really made me wanna get Peach Parfait, so I did!<br />

Top is the sample I got in the mail, and bottom is the actual lip butter. Notice a difference? Well I do, but it's not enough to piss me off. Of course I'll be buying more, but I really hope I can find the shade closer to "peach parfait" It's definitely a perfect color for my skin tone. (both of them)<br />

and Loreal liquid liner with a precision felt tip, for perfecting those cat eyes! I've never been a liquid eyeliner master, so I bought this to help me ease into it. I like it, and it wears so so so well, but I do find the felt tip not always making a super clean line. It doesn't pull my eye and drag the skin, but the line does drag a bit, and I hate those teeny miniscule dents in my cat eyes. They gotta be perfect! I'll be switching to the big girl liquid eyeliner soon as I get over my fear of messing it up lol<br />
<br />
And now, for the grand finale for June (which I actually went shopping today, but I'll just count it towards July lol) My Ulta.com haulage for this month. This is so grand because of the sweetness of the deal. Are you ready? Okay, so this started by getting an email that said if I put this "free" item in my bag (it starts out saying $25) and then put in at least $25 of stuff in my cart, the price tag on this gift disappears, and of course it was allllllll about nail polish. So I put the gift in my cart, and then I'm wondering what I could possibly want to shop for..Oh yeah, makeup. Nyx cosmetics was BOGO half off, so I found the Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit, which is a mini compact of nine neutral looking eyeshadows and two basic lip glosses. It comes with the eyeshadows on the top of the palette, and the two lip glosses slide out in a drawer-like fashion from the bottom, of course coming with a mini eye applicator & lip brush. This goes for $12.99. I also got one of their soft matte lip creams in Amsterdam. This is $5.99 but was $3 for me=] So I still needed to make it up to $25, so I'm lookin and I decide I want Ulta's polishes in Maine Attraction and Jade, and then I still needed a little bit more so I threw in Essence Choose Me! Since I'm very submissive when it comes to shopping for cosmetics lol <br />
As for the free gift...have a looksee!<br />

creepin' in the back, yeah that big orange thing is my $25 freeness.<br />
My samples were a perfume for me and a cologne for my boyfriend, and a sample of eye cream with SPF (good idea btw!) I forgot the brands so just bite me.<br />

here's swatches of all the eyeshadows and lip stuffs I got.<br />
<br />
For the cherry atop this grand deal, I had a coupon code for like...either $3 or $3.50 off an order of at least $10 (I can't remember) so when I used that, it was all basically like $20 before shipping. I am ALL about some sweet deals.<br />
<br />
So that wraps it up, as always, stay tuned later on to see what I bought for this week lol Also, there's some summer challenging goin on for me this month, oh boy yes there is=]nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-76607030901942499392012-06-28T00:28:00.002-05:002012-06-28T00:28:25.048-05:00Review: sifting through my June haulWe're gonna get through this together guys, and I'm gonna take you on a detailed journey of all the stuff I've shown=]<br />
<br />
So I've shown you guys my <a href="http://nevernakednails.blogspot.com/2012/06/part-1-of-my-june-haul.html" target="_blank">June haul pt. 1</a>, now I'm going to review the stuff! First up, the Clinique products!<br />
My mom took me shopping, which is normally pretty fun, but on this particular day, twas a fucking blast. We got my hair colored (not the red I wanted, but it worked for me until I fixed it) ate at Panera, and then went to the mall. First up, we hit Trade Secret, which was a bad idea since we went insane in there and then had to carry heavy bags alllll the way to Belk, cause I was determined to finally go to a counter. Yeah folks, I'm a drugstore kinda gal, and have never bought/worn any makeup more expensive than Neutrogena or Revlon. I went up to the super nice lady, we went through the little computer filling out my skin type, and it told me what I needed. She was a sweetie pie, and I couldn't not buy stuff from her. she went through everything with the skin care regimen for my skin type, the cleanser, toner and moisturizer. I do not remember how much all of this cost...but I do have the prices listed on everything, even the free stuff and samples.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rvCGaMFDRMs/T9vAj_0dg6I/AAAAAAAAAns/O5wiRk2sfZw/s1600/hauls+%252830%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rvCGaMFDRMs/T9vAj_0dg6I/AAAAAAAAAns/O5wiRk2sfZw/s320/hauls+%252830%2529.jpg" vca="true" width="320" /></a></div>
The cleanser is Clinique's liquid facial soap ($16)<br />
Clarifying lotion 3(toner) ($12.50-21)<br />
Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel ($13-24.50)<br />
<br />
I can honestly say I do notice a difference in my skin. It's not even the fact that I'm now washing my face before I go to sleep instead of just when I wake up (I get tired!) but an actual difference. I've been using it for almost two weeks now, twice a day and I gotta say my fave is the moisturizer. I do however wish it had SPF in it, but it does not, so I gotta get my protection elsewhere. I don't mind, because I love this moisturizer. It's a gel-like lotion, it's soooo light and sinks in fast, without leaving any residue behind and I can wait a minute or two and go right on in with my regular beauty routine or just go to bed. It doesn't clog my pores, and I love the fact I can get it really close to my eyes. Not like I put it or any other moisturizer onto my eyelids, but it seems like every one I've tried I cannot get it within an inch of my eye area. It could be the SPF since I normally get lotions with that in it, I don't know. I can get this right up to my lower lids and I like that. The toner is absolutely great, and putting all three together makes my skin so soft and pretty poreless (I'm still giving it time to make those completely disappear lol)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BRoTgC-9Q7w/T9vAlbK5GzI/AAAAAAAAAn8/x_IFny0GXvw/s1600/hauls+%252829%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BRoTgC-9Q7w/T9vAlbK5GzI/AAAAAAAAAn8/x_IFny0GXvw/s320/hauls+%252829%2529.jpg" vca="true" width="320" /></a></div>
So on the day we went we saw the display that had the super cute retro bag o' goodies that you get FO' FREE with a $25 (I think) purchase. Not completely free lol but it ain't hard to spend $25 in there either: <br />
Blushing Blush Powder Blush in I wanna say Berry Delight, ($21)<br />
High Impact Mascara ($15) in Black I THINK it could be black/brown<br />
Take the day off makeup remover ($18 for 4.2 oz)<br />
Chubby Stick in Whole Lotta honey ($16)<br />
Lid Smoothie Antioxidant 8 Hour Eye Color in Bit O' Honey ($19.50)<br />
Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator (full size $36)<br />
I also got a sample of their Stay Matte Oil Free makeup, but I don't know which color it is in...I forgot! It matches me perfectly though, and it stays ALL DAY LONG and I don't even get oily! And it's summer! Granted I don't get out much during the day, and when I do it's because I'm going to do laundry and I am not wearing any makeup...full size for ($23)<br />
<br />
I love this! The bag is absolutely perfect, it's like Clinique knows I'm a freak for retro stuff. And they wanna give me chubby sticks and great makeup removers? Fuck yes, Clinique. <br />
<br />
All the stuff in this bag works perfectly with me and my skin, there was also a second option with I believe a deeper colored Chubby Stick and Eye Smoothie, for the ladies out there who are not so glow in the dark like myself.<br />
<br />
My only complaint is the mascara...it really didn't do so much for me. My Revlon Photoready is a lot better. It didn't not work, so I'm not really complaining, but for me I'd use that instead.<br />
<br />
The moisture surge is (to me) just as great as the moisturizer that I bought, but since it's especially for dryer skin, I use it a couple times a week. I don't have much dry skin or anything, but moisturizing your skin is good when it doesn't feel like you're clogging all your pores up=]<br />
<br />
The Makeup remover is too awesome, I don't have to wait for it to dissolve my thick liquid eyeliner, it just comes right off. It works quickly, even for lipstick. Of course I cleanse right after with the facial cleanser, but it doesn't feel like a race to get oily residue off my face and eyes, because...it just doesn't feel like there is any.<br />
<br />
I have been wanting a chubby stick since I keep seeing the commercials. Let me just say, that I know how bad that sounds, and I can't help but giggle when I think of chubby sticks=] This color goes perfectly with me, it basically goes on nude, but my lips are moisturized and soft, never loaded down=]<br />
<br />
The eye smoothie is basically a very nude shade, and I use it as my base for all my eye makeup, everything seems to blend better on top of it, and I like the feeling of using a creamy base instead of a powder. I feel like that is going to help it stay better, instead of just blending a lot of powders together.<br />
<br />
So I have a few ideas floating around, and I think I'm going to do a few different posts about my makeup (my stash and storage) my purse (I'm officially a bag lady, and I wanna show you why) and even an everyday look. Of course I'll be the 58008349859340th person on the internet to do a makeup look, and it's not hard to recreate what you see on youtube, and I don't have any MAC products. But I would like to throw it out there that you don't exactly have to spend an assload to get a great look that doesn't fade/smear/fall off during the day. You do have to spend a little bit lol but I can't do MAC, I'm sorry. I want to so badly, but I'll have to get it at a counter to get out of shipping costs. Good luck with that, since there isn't one near me! My makeup stays all day long, and looks just as great as when I applied it. If anyone out there is interested in this, lemme know! Of course, I'll be doing my nails still as often as possible, but I'd still like to write about the products that I use on a daily basis besides my nails since I can't always do awesome nail art, and I definitely still put makeup on almost every single day. I'm throwing it out there, that means it's gonna happen, y'all!nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-11893230409610886702012-06-27T14:00:00.000-05:002012-06-27T14:00:00.977-05:00summer challenge. yep, you read it right!hey everybody! today I am actually participating in the summer challenge again, woohoo! After being out of it for a little bit. Okay like a month. Yes, I am a huge dick. I went on and on about how excited I was and how I was anticipating being so super creative and being a part of a community of other people enjoying this insanity of doing multiple manicures weekly. Yeah, go ahead and say it. I'm a huge dick! But I really am still excited, and if I had the time I would be so on this shit all week every week. You know it's true! In fact, I think everyone will be quite pleased with a challenge I will be participating in ..next week? I'm pretty sure it's next week. Actually scratch that it's gonna be the week after that. Eh, I'll think of something to go in between there, because I really think I'm getting my groove back. It's been a super insane month, but I think I'm actually getting used to this mad schedule I have, and I have absolutely learned that recycling manis are my very best friends. It truly gives me way more time to space out my thoughts, I can wear a color(s) for a whole day (or two!) and really think of what I really want to do to them, whereas before school started I would get so excited I could barely wait for the Seche Vite to dry before I applied tape. Yeah..<br />
<br />
So today's challenge is a blue+aqua+green mani!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SZi2069YSos/T-eO9Ibu5QI/AAAAAAAAAqY/JMM_EzWRnT8/s1600/makeup+and+birchbox+haul+%252810%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="230" rca="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SZi2069YSos/T-eO9Ibu5QI/AAAAAAAAAqY/JMM_EzWRnT8/s320/makeup+and+birchbox+haul+%252810%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vLE7RCBYw3A/T-ePC9J6a6I/AAAAAAAAAtU/b5gg9yiosJw/s1600/makeup+and+birchbox+haul+%25289%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="227" rca="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vLE7RCBYw3A/T-ePC9J6a6I/AAAAAAAAAtU/b5gg9yiosJw/s320/makeup+and+birchbox+haul+%25289%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
This is sort of a little inspired by a mani Chalkboard Nails did at one point, something about fish scales or something? Anyway I totally wasn't able to capture it so I won't even link it. I doubt anyone will be pissed. If you are, uh go google search some shit and just stop whining about it already!...=]<br />
<br />
I loved wearing this mani, I love greens and blues together, and when they make teal mmmmmmm so awesome!<br />
<br />
Here is China Glaze Gaga for Green, Hits Apolo, China Glaze For Audrey and then Tree Hugger and then Splish Splash. For the ring it's just Gaga for Green and then a no name Jordana glitter with pretty blues and greens in a clear base=] I only have two Jordanas, and I was absolutely floored when I was shopping in kmart out of town (we haven't had one since I was a kid) and saw that you can buy DBP and toluene and formeldehyde free shit FOR FUCKING CHEAP.<br />
<br />
Yeah, uh I hadn't gotten the memo but there it is folks. So I picked up pretty much the only two I saw, and I'm hoping to find more=]<br />
<br />
Happy wednesday, y'all. This is a scheduled post, but I can tell you exactly how this day's gonna go: I get off work at 7 am, go home to nap, at 12 I gotta go back to work for a meeting which will last who knows how long, then I might as well just stay awake because at about 2:30 or 3 is when I normally wake up to get ready for school, which starts at 5:45, but it's a 45 minute drive away. then school gets out at 9:45 at night, and I'm driving 45 minutes back home just to go back to freaking work. leave me nice comments today, pleeeeeease=]<br />nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-24681629107504569252012-06-25T15:00:00.000-05:002012-06-25T15:00:02.959-05:00Did I just log into myspace?lol kidding, no one does that anymore.<br />
<br />
I just stole this great nail survey from <a href="http://gnarlygnails.blogspot.com/2012/06/nail-survey.html?showComment=1340599452602#c7874789363765171143" target="_blank">gnarly gnails</a>, and it totally sent me back to junior year, back when I actually had a life full of friends, some guy, work a few hours a week, and partying all weekend long, yet just enough time and energy to fit about 100 survey bulletins in a week.<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's been a love of mine since I was about six, and then I started painting the walls in my room with it lol</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">My stash of about 30 started exploding I'm gonna say around january maybe? it's now 135.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">lol. 135. it will change tomorrow =]</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Wow, well I think I definitely have more china glazes than anything else, but that's only because I have a Sally's here in town. But I loooove OPI. LOVE IT!</span></div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It varies, but I've never really counted it up. A lot. If I did, I might not spend so much. I'm totally kidding. I can't help myself, I just try to justify it with sales and coupons mostly.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I would say my Deborah Lippman's from the Footloose collection (both duo sets) but I spent a whopping $27 on all four, plus shipping, plus I gave two bucks to March of Dimes. Gotta love a good sale! So TECHNICALLY I've spent more on Zoyas than I did on those...so technically Zoyas, which are 8 bucks lol</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Nails Inc, Baker Street! and lots of indies!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I</span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> love shiny, but matte just makes me feel super chic, and awesome. And I love glitter as much as they all love me, like a stalker ex-boyfriend. I can't seem to stop buying them, and they can't seem to wanna come off my nails.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">None. Well it's not that I can't stand it, but I do sometimes wish neons would pick between shiny or matte. What's this semi gloss satin shit?</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I love using cuticle oils, but if I don't have any I love to use Eucerin Aquaphor. Today's post is a little busy, but I promise, there's a mani at the end!<br />
<br />
First up, really quickly there is a SUPER COOL blog out there called<a href="http://makeupmoviesandmore.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank"> MakeUp, Movies & More</a>! Hayley is having a giveaway due to her 100 followers, and the prizes are so freaking cool=] check her out, she also has a cool blog, I'm a sucker for other beauty junkies=]<br />
<br />
And now, for your viewing pleasure, I give you... the cute bag o' goodies I received from the Target Summer Beauty Bag giveaway! I can't remember how long this took to get to me, I know that I signed up for it once I saw<a href="http://okayeamy.blogspot.com/2012/05/target-style-summer-beauty-bag.html" target="_blank"> this </a>post on OkayeAmy's blog, which is dated May 22, and mine got to me a few days ago so....about a month. Which is cool, since I'm pretty sure a lot of people ordered them and it's free so... yeah! This does not count as part of my haul for this month because of the freeness, which unfortunately will have to wait to conclude this coming weekend since I'm waiting on one last thing to come in the mail, and would TOTALLY be here if the FREAKING MAIL ran on sundays...psh.. anyway, onto the bag!<br />

First off, isn't this bag FREAKING cute? I love the bag more than anything lol<br />
Second off, you all have to know by now my love of Revlon lip butters, and I think this one is my new favorite.<br />
Third off, I do love the sunscreen, it goes on feeling a little heavy, but it does disappear and I don't see that it makes me have to retouch my makeup sooner than normal. I'm still on the lookout for the perfect feeling sunscreen for my face, and I'm on the verge of just using spray on sunscreen for my body because yeah, I'm getting that lazy.<br />
<br />
For the fourth off, I'm going to be doing a little preaching, so everyone please, have a seat, make your children be quiet, and listen up: sadly the hair stuff will not be used by me. Being in hair school now, I am completely biased on drugstore hair care products, it's pretty much taboo. I will not judge you at all for using any of these products, I know they are way more affordable than the super awesome salon stuff, and if I hadn't gone to hair school I would still be using either of these. My only thing with these is there are sulfates in the shampoos. Saying that you are protecting color and then putting sulfates in your shampoos is just not true. If you are coloring your hair and you want to keep it for longer, you need to be using a shampoo that not only says it was made for color care but also that says sulfate free. Sulfates are basically what helps the shampoo to lather up really well when we put some on our hair, and it helps us to feel like we are doing a better job of cleaning our hair. It definitely does clean you of your natural oiliness and build-up from products, but using these shampoos (and conditioners) WILL fade your color much faster. Sulfate free products are hard to use at first, when you go your entire life with the feeling that you need a big big lather in order to feel clean...and then sometimes repeating after the rinse just to be sure. I grew up showering and washing my hair every. single. day. It's how my family is. We have really thick hair, and it gets dirty pretty quickly. My body was working hard to over-produce oil that I felt I needed to wash out every day, it was actually making my hair oilier than it has to be. A few years back I quit that bad habit, to every other day sometimes third, and haven't looked back. I'm learning a lot in school now, and some things are hard to swallow, like not buying shampoo and conditioner from wal mart. Anyway, so they don't lather up like the sulfate shampoos do, because they don't have those cleaning agents in them. They do clean your hair though, without robbing it of important stuff, like robbing your scalp of your natural oils to the point of being dry and brittle. They also may be a cause of hair thinning/loss. I read somewhere that they don't clean your hair as well so you will need to shampoo more often, and I don't think that's true either. I have just recently colored my hair a very vibrant red. Am I terrified of even sulfate free shampoo? A little bit. Red is the easiest fading color, especially the super pretty ones. The good thing is, with my red hair I can hide dirt better. Seriously. I have no idea if it's just all the hair spray I've been using, because on most days I do style my hair with curls and junk.. but red hair has just been easier for me to get away with not washing every other day. It's probably the better shampoos and conditioners I've been using..I have no idea. I wash my hair twice a week max. If I can get away with once I will. I still shower every single day, guys! I'm not gross lol but I am totally prepared to do what I can to protect my hair from fading. Anyway, I'm gonna step off my sulfate-free soap box lol Here's some nails:<br />

This is Revlon Chic. I love this color. It's so neutral! I think the photo makes it look a teeny tiny little bitty bit bluer than it really is, but you pretty much get it. It's a creme, opaque in two coats, and I have no complaints with this one at all=] Perfect for work, or those occasions you need a neutral, but is a great alternative to gray or nude. This is the second (maybe third..?) day of wear, so I did have a couple chips on my index finger, from working and school. Styling a mannequin head really takes it outta your nails! lol..anyway, it looks like I will actually be participating in the summer challenge at least one day this week! woohoo! Go me=] I still have plenty more to show you guys, I'm just waiting for the big one to come in the mail!nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7434855577355584019.post-85398058271135420922012-06-20T00:13:00.004-05:002012-06-20T00:13:33.350-05:00Awards time!I have been picked for a couple of awards! I think these things are so cool, I'm pumped that people are actually reading my stuff and liking it enough to wanna spread their awards my way=] <br />
<br />
In addition to all of the questions I've answered in this post, I'd like to thank my mom, who has spent total assloads of money on my hair/makeup and polish obsession, since the very very beginning. It's now my job to carry that on, but she still helps me out when she can. I suppose she knew what monster she was creating back then, but it could not be stopped. It still won't be. And it is that reason that I am here today even blogging at all..<br />
<br />
First up, a couple weeks back (yeah I'm late...bite me!) Linzi from When It Rains It Pours awarded me the Laine Blogger Award!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kF6bimxgoHw/T84jYEN5kVI/AAAAAAAAAzA/ufyDn8mrqJc/s400/laine+blog+award.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" rca="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kF6bimxgoHw/T84jYEN5kVI/AAAAAAAAAzA/ufyDn8mrqJc/s400/laine+blog+award.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>What is your current beauty obsession?</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u><br /></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Red hair! I mean RED RED hair. Rockabilly and pin up makeup/hairstyles (clothing too, but I don't buy as much because I have to wear uniforms to work and school so.. the rest of my time is spent asleep lol) I've been enamored with this style for the longest time now, but I didn't know I had the confidence for the hair and the makeup before. I mean I guess I did know it, but it's all a matter of actually doing it. Words of advice for anyone interested in uhhh BEING YOURSELF if it might be a little different than what you see on a day to day basis, just go for it! You're at the very very least making yourself happy, which is the only important thing. If someone doesn't like it...then they're nuts and screw em.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>What is the beauty item you wished you owned?</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A lot of MAC products..</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hate buying makeup online, shipping sucks. I'll buy nail polish all day long lol but I really wish there were a store near me that sold Mac or other awesome products so that I could go to a counter and try something out..but I reaaaaally want Macs Black track gel eyeliner. Currently I'm using Revlon Colorstay and it works pretty great, but I think I need a different brush..</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>What kind of posts are your favourite posts to write and read?</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u><br /></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My favorite posts to write are my haul posts, and most of all my Birchbox posts. It's also fun if I have a mani that I know is super awesome and I can't wait to show it off on the internet lol I don't really have a lot of people complimenting my nails in real life.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u><br /></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>What inspired you to become a blogger?</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u><br /></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well, I've always been a great fan of makeup and polish, I used to paint the walls with it when I was a young child lol I've seen countless youtube videos for tutorials on hair/makeup/nails and I guess one day I was kinda searching around for nail ideas and came across all these blogger accounts and I was like woah..this is pretty big. I really had no idea. So I started recreating some of them and taking photos, which seems REALLY silly at first, but that goes away after your first post! I learned how to get better at polishing, and techniques and what not to use and what to use and all kinds of things. I'm seriously thinking about starting a vlog once I get my own computer and an actual video camera (my camera would just be terrible for this kind of thing..) I've always been fairly decent at writing... I know it can be long winded and I'm sure there are very very few who actually read all the stuff I write, but this is my outlet! I need this place to vent about beauty.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>What colour nail polish re you wearing right now?</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u><br /></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Color Club Clambake Coral. Actually the bottle says Coral Cascade, but I ordered from Birchbox.com and the colors look totally the same but for some reason have two names?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>Rules: </u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Thank the person who awarded you and link their blog. </li>
<li>Blog about your award and answer the questions </li>
<li>Award it to five other amazing bloggers </li>
</ul>

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
So Valerie Angel has just awarded me the One Lovely Blog award, and I'm not sure how this works, I know she had a few questions she answered on her post so I guess I'll do that, and then I suppose I'm to share this with other blogs=]</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
<u>7 RANDOM FACTS</u></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
1. I never get the amount of sleep that I need to function, I'm always working and going to school. </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
2. I love to read, knit, crochet, spin yarn, collect buttons and beads (and boxes..and tissue paper)</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
3. My polish stash has metastasised and has no hopes of ever stopping. It's pretty much terminal at this point, the spare bedroom will never be anything more than the nail/beauty room.</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
4. Beauty school has already helped me to come out of my beauty shell even more, all the rockabilly stuff that has been inside of me for so long can flow freely and come out now.</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
5. I used to be fun! I can't remember the last time I was anything but sober, or kind of tired. I've grown up a lot, it really seems strange that I basically had all my fun before I turned 21, and now I'm this old lady that has no life..</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
6. I have the best friends ever! There's like three of them lol When you get older, all your friends get pregnant and married and you have to work on your life and blah blah blah, so all the people who were flaky in high school get pretty much nonexistent in your life now. The ones that I keep around are lifers, they've been through it all and they're willingly in it for the long haul. Even if I didn't like em as much they'd still be on me like a human centipede, and that's okay=]</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
7. I'm in the best relationship ever, I love him=] He gets me, more than anyone has. When you find someone who can read your mind better than your own mom can, you know that's never gonna happen again. He supports this crazy side of me that will polish my nails when I should be sleeping, or spend my last dollar on some pretty polish, no judging!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm just going to award a few bloggers, and these are just my faaavorite people, because I'm not going to lie I haven't been keeping up with everyone like I used to.. I'm not even checking to see if they've already been awarded these, in my opinion they deserve it. So anyway, here they are:</div>

Okay, obviously for the most part I went down the line of my blog roll and listed EVERY blog I've ever been seriously into, even if I can't read them allll the time. If you're not listed here, maybe I'm new to following you and havent seen much yet, but for the most part, I started following these blogs from the beginning, so it feels right at home to list them all here. I don't care about rules of these things, these blogs are the shit! No, I have not linked them. Are you nuts? You've got a google search, shit! Anyway, since I've deleted the blogroll from my page due to malware warnings, I'm just putting it out there that I looove these blogs. Yes, the first few are not in order because those are my go-to have to read blogs. There are a few others that are in order that are also on that list, but when I thought of awards to be given, those were the first that came to mind. And I would feel bad if I gave it to like three people, and everyone else gave like 15...So you can think I'm lame all you want, but I can't make those decisions and just leave people out =/</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Anyway, thanks so much to Linzi and Valerie for the awards, I hope everyone has enjoyed my answers, and stays tuned for more to come=]</div>

I fear I will never own my own bottle of Clarins 230. It's a fact that I deal with, day to day. I get by. How could a polish so perfect be so freaking discontinued, and goes for over a hundred bucks on ebay. Oh, the things I could do with the amazing Unicorn Pee. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, seriously do yourself a favor and google it. You're not actually doing yourself a favor, because now you want it just as much as I do, and unless you're completely insane you're not gonna shell out the cash. On the small chance that you ARE that completely insane, could you see if they'll throw in another bottle?</span><br />
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Anyway, so if you can't tell, today I was craving some color-shifting goodness, oh yes. I'll have to make do with what I have, since I don't have the most precious of all.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">note: These pictures were taken weeks ago when my camera was all wonky, and apparently I decided they weren't even good enough to watermark lol</span></div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This is OPI Not Like The Movies from the Katy Perry collection, three coats. It's a weird gray/steel color from afar, but even in the bottle (not pictured) you can tell the color shift from purple to green in different light. I had commented on another blog's post about this polish, having no idea that it had come out in a different color. Apparently this version was only made for a short while when it came out, and then they switched to something different, something less duochrome. So I'm lucky I guess!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I thought China Glaze Liquid Crystal from the Prismatic collection would go perfectly on top! I accented my thumb and ring fingers with it. It's great because the colors shift from blue to purple, so my fingers are shifting to different colors on different fingers =] On the rest I added China Glaze Fairy Dust, for giggles =] I love the holographic shimmery goodness it adds.</span></div>

Yeah, it's that bad! Honestly though, half of this is from my mom, so it halfway doesn't count!<br />

First up, not too long ago you may remember that it was Leah Ann from llarowe's birthday! She made a coupon that was for 49% off, and I had never bought from her shop before, and I really shouldn't have been buying anything, but after shipping and everything this was like 7 bucks. This is Hits No Olimpo in Apolo, and is described as deep royal blue linear holographic. My first actual holo polish! Blue is dominating my stash right now, and this one is sooo pretty. It isn't blinding, but it gets the holographic job done, all while being my favorite blue.</div>

<br /></div>
Next up: Sally's! This was actually a great deal, I went in there with a 15% off coupon as well as my Sally's card of course, and they were having a sale on buy two China Glaze polishes and get a bottle of Seche Retain free! I'd never tried anything but Seche Vite, so I was really happy about this! The polishes from the left: Finger Paints in Motley, China Glaze Gaga for Green, Kinetic Candy, Splish Splash and Naked, Seche Retain & Poshe top coat. I also picked up an avocado and grapefruit face mask which I keep forgetting to try.. another set of nail wheels! I was in desperate need, I'm using one for my first project in school; The color wheel! Also I picked up a nail block for filing/buffing and a three row teasing comb. I love these things but I lost my old one so..<br />

<br />Do any of you like Clinique?<br />
Also, if there are any fake redheads out there like myself, what do you prefer to do to prolong your color? I have a load of products but I'm always on the lookout for more as well as techniques and lifestyle changes that can be learned and made lol<br />
<br />
I'm not even done yet, stay tuned=]nevernakednailshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03097729449892375379noreply@blogger.com2
