Amber

I'm 21. I'm a part-time cosmetology student, I also work full-time. I'm pretty lazy, and don't lift my fingers to do many things in my free time, except to decorate their tips =]

This blog is to document my progress, as I continue to try new things with my nails as much as possible.

I am in no way affiliated with the brands of products that I review on here, I just really love shopping.

Dupe alert! Deborah Lippman & Revlon

Today I have a comparison for you guys!  These are the polishes being used:
Deborah Lippman Footloose
Revlon Fearless
OPI Moonsooner or Later
Pure Ice Siren

(Siren's only in there cause I didn't wanna leave out another potential bright red, but I knew he wouldn't match up)

With a focus on these three
But really the main reason for this comparison are these two lovelies!

L-R: OPI Moonsooner or Later, Revlon Fearless, Deborah Lippman Footloose, Pure Ice Siren

Footloose is also on my thumb, so you can see all four of those finers it is REALLY hard to tell any difference.  I should point out that these are bright tomato reds, so yes, there is orange in them.  Of course, orange is super hard to photograph, especially the differences in these being so slight as to a hint more or less of orange.
OPI and Revlon.  Both are definitely crelly, but I would say Fearless is more of a jelly than MoL is.  Very close to one another, but Fearless is a little smidgen itty bitty bit more orange than MOL is.

And here, we have Fearless and Footloose, and I'm here to tell you that I would consider these dupes of one another.  Both are crellies, the flash in this photo really ruins the comparison, but just from the other photos of my middle and ring fingers, wouldn't you say these are just about the same polish?  Revlon of course is sort of infamous for duping DL, and to me they've done it again.  If you can go out and get Revlon Fearless, you most definitely don't need DL's Footloose, though you might still be able to find it on sale somewhere.  I bought all four polishes in DL's Footloose collection for less then $26 on hsn.com

What do you think?  Do you have any dupes in your stash?

  1. I'm going to keep my eye out for fearless. Its a shame Revlon dupes DL a lot. Once in a while they come up with their own stuff. You would think a big, giant company like Revlon would be more creative. Oh well at least they are cruelty free and I'm impressed with their nail polishes.

    1. Eh i can look past the unoriginality (keep in mind there are still slight differences most of the time) for the low low price tag! If i could afford it I'd buy dl all day. Her polishes are phenom! The brushes the application and consistency cant be beat in my eyes..

  3. Hi There, I just spent a little time reading through your posts, which I found entirely by mistake whilst researching one of my projects. Please continue to write more because it’s unusual that someone has something interesting to say about this. Will be waiting for more!
